Post of Compliance Officer

The Regulator is an equal opportunity employer and, seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will be expected to enter into an indefinite contract subject to a probationary period of six months. Unsatisfactory performance during the probation period will lead to termination of the contract.

The Compliance Officer is responsible for the provision of enforcement services in all areas under the responsibility of the Regulator.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide enforcement services and associated enforcement support;
  • actively ensuring timeliness of services provided;
  • Providing information in a timely manner;
  • Carrying out any other duty as may reasonably be directed by the direct superior or management.

Candidates must:

  • Meet one of the following criteria:
    • be in possession of an Ordinary Technician’s Diploma, or an equivalent Diploma in Engineering or Operations or Maintenance or any other relevant field, comparable qualification at MQF Level 4 or Higher duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) and have at least two (2) year work related experience;
      • Candidates with a Higher Technician’s Diploma will be given preference; or
    • be in possession of a technical diploma in Engineering or Operations or Maintenance or any other relevant field, comparable qualification at MQF Level 3 duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) and have at least five (5) years work related experience; or
    • be in possession of a technical diploma in Engineering or Operations or Maintenance or Technical or any other relevant field, comparable qualification at MQF Level 2 duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) and have at least ten (10) years work related experience; and
  • have a valid driving license category B
  • be proficient in using common software packages;
  • have the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) in Maltese and English Languages.
