Lists of REWS’ Approved Competent Persons – Fuel Sector

Attention all PV retailers and engineers involved in the RES sector,

Article 16 of Directive 2018/2001/EU titled “Organisation and duration of the permit-granting process” aims to facilitate the permit granting process for generators from renewable energy sources in order to expedite their uptake. In these regards the REWS has embarked on a project to create a software platform through which applications for Photovoltaic systems, Wind Turbines and Co-generation Units will be submitted fully electronically through the same single point application software platform.

Note that the above does not apply to the Residential Grant Schemes applicable to PV’s, Hybrid Inverters and Battery Storage systems and their combinations. Applications for these Grant Schemes will proceed as usual.

The REWS will be conducting training sessions for this one-stop-shop platform for different audiences.  This invitation for training is intended for the engineers. A course for PV retailers will follow, however it is highly appreciated that PV retailers inform the engineers whose technical services are used to ensure that all engineers are informed. Kindly note that the REWS will communicate shortly the dates and venue for other sessions dedicated for PV retailers.
