Households may benefit from a grant on the purchase of a PV system with or without a battery combined with a feed-in tariff payable on the electricity exported to the distribution network. Normally the most financially beneficial option in this case is to consume the electricity produced or stored, if you opt also to install a battery to consume the energy store at a later stage and only export the surplus.
